How to find Hard disk read write speed using Linux
To get this information, install the utility "hdparm" using the command:
#yum install hdparm
Find the hard disk partition using the command:
#fdisk -l
Execute the below command to find the read speed:
#hdparm -Tt /dev/sdx
Execute the below command to find the write speed:
#sync;time bash -c "(dd if=/dev/zero of=bf bs=8k count=500000; sync)"
